Two Classic ‘Metal Gear’ Games Now Backwards Compatible On Xbox One

Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 are both now backwards compatible on Xbox One.

Specifically, the Xbox 360 versions of these games—launched as remasters in 2011—are now playable on your Xbox One.

If you don’t already own them, you can pick up both games as part of a $20 bundle. Just two Metal Gear games are unavailable on Xbox: the original Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid IV, which are both PlayStation exclusives.

Too bad Sony is so far behind when it comes to backwards compatibility.

Metal Gear Solid 2 boasts a 96/100 on Metacritic, making it one of the best-reviewed video games of all time.

Unfortunately for me, I own the remaster bundle on PS3. It’s been a while since I’ve played these games, but even just writing about them makes me want to dive back in.
